The Weekend Round-up

August 24th & 25th

This weekend was quite exciting. Red Rock was incredibaly busy. I havent seen that many people their in a very long time. Lots of imports on Friday and Even more on Saturday.

Friday August 24th:
My crew and I got out to Red Rock at around 8:30 and we were the first ones their. Nate and I hooked up an ATF pump in his Grand Prix so we had to try it out. It worked pretty well.

At around 9:30 the races started and they went for quite a while. We ended up going and sitting in the parking lot adjacent to the "Park-n-ride". I was extatic because I did a burn out thet filled the entire lot of imports with white thick smoke. We stayed at the lot for a while and the cops never left the strip so Diana, Tim, Nate, and I decided to go to Perkins. After perkins we headed to our personal Strip in Rosemount. (E-mail me for the location). We got in some decent races that night and ended up rolling back to my place and working on our cars.

Saturday August 25th:
I got to Nates house at around noon today. He was going to go to Elco Speedway but I talked him out of it. We ended up talking to Cable and Gyuin and they wanted to start rolling with our crew. Cable just got a Dodge Stealth R/T and Gyuin just got a 1999 Mercury Cougar I6. We washed our rides and got em all pretty for the night. Cable and Gyuin met us at Nates at around 6:45 and we headed out to Red Rock. We were the first ones their but people soon started pouring in. The races were going very smooothly. Not a cop in sight. But, as usual, at 10:00 on the dot. The cops rolled in. At the time, their was a Saturn and a Jeep lined up to race. As they got halfway down the strip, all of a sudden we saw a flash of brown as a highway patrolman gunned it past the starting line and went after them. We all poured into our rides and dipped outsa their. It was very orchistrated. All I know is we need to set up better security down their than just waiting to see the cops and running.

We went to the PNR (Park-n-Ride) and we met up w/ Phil. He runs an older style Integra that he "claims" is bone stock. But we all know it isnt. It's funny if you ask him what he's done to it he'll just say "plugs n' wires". So we always say that too him. We chilled at the PNR for a while and then headed back down to the strip. It was sooooooo incrediably busy. We couldnt even race it was so packed. So we dipped out to our strip in Rosemount again.

When we got their their were already people their, people that we didnt know. I was like "What the fuck?" cause we didnt tell these people about it. I guess that word travels fast. Anyways, these guys were very orchistrated. They had lookouts and 2-way radios so we wouldnt get pinched. We got in all sorts of good races. I raced a 2001 Civic and he beat me unfortunatly. But it was still fun. Their were two highlights that evening. The first one was when a blue Dodge Neon R/T and a black Hona Civic lined up. We didnt think anything special about the race till we heard a "psss, pssst"

We were all like "Yo!!! They're runnin' NOS!" So we watched as these two cars roched em down the strip. It was hella cool. All night long, cars kept rolling in. At one time their had to have been 50 Imports. Thats big for our little raceway.

The best thing we saw was what happened next. This kid from INver Grove Heights was their and we dared him to roll through the corn fields in his Ford F-350. To our delight he did. And we all rolled laughing as we watched his headlights cruising through the cornfield making his mark. He finally came back and his truck was covered in Corn cobs and corn stalks. We helped him pull out all the weeds and coprn from his underbody. The only bad thing was that it was his Dad's truck and he scraped the fuck outa it and busted a head light.

A hile later someone yelled out "50, 50!" So me and my crew dipped out and they followed me to another strip I know of. We chilled their for a while untill we thought it would be safe. I was gonna race some guy in his Truck (which kinda made me laugh). And when I went to turn around to line up I saw the cherries commin' at me. I yelled out "cops, cops!" and floored the gas. Everyone followed me as we gunned it down the strip to loose the cops. We ended up losing them and "Fartpipe" and Tim followed me to Holiday cause they needed gas. The cops drove by and saw us so the pulled a u-turn and blocked us in. They got out and told us that we needed to get our asses outa town cause we werent welcome and then they gave "Fartpipe" a ticket for his exhaust system. Which I thought was kinda funny cause he has a custom Cat-Back system and Im runnin strait pipes. Mines twice as loud as his, but they let me go. Fuckin pigs. Anyways, I met back up w/ Nate and "Rangerguy" at my place and then we called it a night. All in all, it was a very exciting nite. We're kind of getting known around the southern metro. So the cop's ar gunnin' 4 us. So I say fuck em'. Theyre just pissed cause theyre 45 and realized they've wasted their lives busting people instead of having fun like us in Visual F/X. More to come next week. Make sure you come on out.
