Race Stories

8/22/01:
I ventured on into Apple Valley in search of some races. To my
chagrin there weren't very many. I drove aimlessly around Apple
Valley and yet found none. Finally I swung by the McDonald's and
to my luck I saw some kids with cars. I just asked one if they
knew if any races went on around here. Then some kid said, "Your
going to race that piece of shit?" I was a little upset,
but took nothing by it. They directed me to Red Rock. I didn't
want to go there so I just drove away and started to go home.
I realized that there was an open invitation and since I hadn't
seen anything all night, I decided to take them up on it. I swung
back in and said "all right I changed my mind." So,
we went on 42 and there the light was there. I pulled up next
to a Mustang . The light turned green and there we went I was
getting my ass smoked and the end result was just that. He was
laughing and at the next light, I just took of from the line with
the idea that I was going to win. I flew from the line, maybe
a couple lengths in front and then he passed me for another win.
This time I had my pride that I kept up with him.

I was back on the road after a break to rest up. I still hadn't
recovered
from my beating a couple nights ago. I thought to myself what
better way to erase the memories of losing to Mustang. So, I found
a Grand AM GT. Pulled up next to it, revved it and it was on.
Light was green and once again I took him off the line and this
time held on by about a car length. The night was short, but I
was proud of myself. That same night I challenged a Mustang and
still haven't heard back from him. Not to be conceded, but he
must be scared.
